Dinthill Alumni Association Stages Online Concert to Fund Projects

The Alumni Association of Dinthill Technical High School (DTHS) will on Sunday, host the One Maroon Social Mediation Fundraiser, aimed at generating $3 million for infrastructure projects at the institution.

The school’s dairy and chicken infrastructure projects are set to benefit from the fundraiser.

Songstress Gem Myers will headline the event, which is being staged under the patronage of The Consul General of Jamaica to the southern section of the United States of America (USA), Oliver Mair.

These photos above shows persons using the new equipment at the school gym and Joseph Small (left), 2nd VP of the DTHS Alumni Association, pointing to one of the ongoing infrastructure projects on the school compound as Renee Panton, Chairperson Finance; and Donovan Betancourt, the president of the association, look on during a recent tour of the grounds.

The DTHS Alumni Association has promised plenty of laughter, with skits that include mimics of past principals.

The concert is a part of the continued efforts by the DTHS Alumni Association to uplift life for current students of the institution.

Recent activities by the alumni association include the commemoration of the Linval Freeman Sports Centre with a renovated starter gym with new equipment, a multi-stakeholders conference for a development plan, helping in welfare support that helps to lessen the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) on the students and technical support for online learning.
